1. Scope of Coverage

Backyard Begininnings provides a [3]-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on all interlocking paver patio installations, beginning on the date of project completion. This warranty guarantees the structural integrity of the installation and covers installation defects, including:  Excessive settling or sinking of the paver surface in excess of 3/8” compared to adjacent structures.  Loose pavers, compromised wall blocks, or failing edge restraints.  Should structural settling or shifting occur due to craftsmanship deficiencies within this timeframe, Backyard Begininnings will repair the affected area at no cost to the client (labor and matching materials included).

 

2. Material Warranty

The concrete pavers utilized for this project are backed by a Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty provided directly by the manufacturer (Unilock). This covers abnormal material degradation or cracking. Backyard Beginnings guarantees that the installation will strictly adhere to manufacturer and ICPI & NCMA specifications to ensure your lifetime material warranty remains valid.

 

3. Express Exclusions

This warranty covers craftsmanship only and explicitly excludes:  Naturally occurring efflorescence (temporary white salt dusting), fading, or surface stains (e.g., food, oil, mulch).  Damage caused by "Acts of God," natural disasters, or severe environmental shifts (e.g., flooding, erosion, earthquakes).  Lifting, shifting, or cracking caused by the growth of existing or new tree roots.  Damage resulting from misuse, such as driving heavy vehicular equipment or commercial lawnmowers onto a residential pedestrian patio.  Loss of joint sand or shifted pavers caused by the improper use of high-pressure power washers.  Any alterations, additions, or repairs performed by anyone other than Backyard Beginnings.

 

4. Conditions of Validity

This warranty is strictly contingent upon the project being paid in full according to the agreed-upon contract terms. Late payments or failure to pay the final balance immediately upon substantial completion will result in the total termination of all warranty coverages.
